The AHOSAT is a community driven initiative that offers audiences the unique first-hand experience of visiting artists studio to see behind the artworks and meet the artists themselves. Trail maps are available through this website or the Perth Hills Armadale Visitors Centre, 40 Jull Street, Armadale.
The AHOSAT is presented annually over ten days in November.
Armadale is around 25 minutes south east of Perth city and studio locations for each year can be found on the map in the lead up to the event.
The studios change each year depending on the local artists involved, however the trail often includes painting (watercolours, acrylic, oils), textiles, sculpture, woodturning, pastels, glass and steel art forms among others. The medium(s) featured in each studio is promoted through the trail map.
Each studio times vary, please check on each of the artists’ website page for opening times.
We definitely recommend making a day of it and there is a number of great hospitality sponsors highlighted on the trail map, however there is also a lot of other experiences to have while you are in the area, this may include taking a bush walk, visiting a local attraction or doing a spot of shopping. If you would like specific recommendations then contact the Perth Hills Armadale Visitors Centre on 9394 5410 or visit www.perthhillsarmadale.com.au
